I got a warning on this forum, because I said that your improvements will only make it worse. Now what? Now you removed sorting by Newest. And added social network links, which is useless. We had a text field a years ago! Everyone who wanted to share contacts, shared it via this field. Others did not wanted, but now they have a very nice and comfortable way to not to! I totally agree.
Jane Rix
I've already mentioned the things that I don't like so, to redress the balance, I love having access to both stills and footage from the same page - that's a great improvement.
otsphoto
Do customers really care about our biography or social media links? Don't they just come to buy content that we provide? I must be missing a point.
Lightboxx
there is no way to see the latest uploads?
Helen Hotson
Aside from no new content view, updating the avatar doesn't seem to work, 24hrs later still shows old pixelated image at 120px. Also I think there's too much empty white space at the top of the page and that the boder round the images once you've scrolled down enough to see them needs to be a bit thicker.
Tim photo-video
Good day! I have a new interface and I have a few comments. 1. Why do not I see sets for video as for photos? 2. There are only 3 lines in the list of sets - this is not enough. For better visualization, you need 5 or better 10. 3. I agree that the header takes up a lot of space, almost half the page. This is a lot by modern standards. Ludi became lazy even to spin the wheel at the mouse.
Kate Shutterstock
Hi All! Thanks for your continued feedback. As I mentioned previously, we will be adding the sort option soon, so you'll be able to see your most recent content at the top. @Jane Rix The social media links will disappear if you remove them from your profile. For example if, for Twitter, you enter "n/a" or "none" that will cause the link to appear on your profile. Just go to Personalize my porftolio, and delete any that aren't correct. @Sari ONeal and @Helen Hotson We are working to resolve the issue with the avatars as well. The old images are being stored in the browser, so visitors who have seen your profile before are still getting the old photo. We can fix that (and we will!) Also, we're working with another team to resolve the issue of the fuzzy collections cover images. For now, you can replace the cover with an image that is in landscape orientation. Finally, in the next few days, we'll be updating the Catalog manager so you can make your video sets / collections public. Thanks!
otsphoto
Is it possible to update catalog manager so it would show total revenue of selected photos up top? I remember it was that way for some time, now I have to create sets and add photos there to see how much revenue I have for specific group of photos.

Now clients see the oldest images first.... like 10 years old (not very exciting).

Thanks, Kate, but I already tried this, and cleared cache/cookies and checked via other browsers. I can't get them to disappear.

Unnecessary changes that make worse visualisation "Top images" is so relative... 🤦♂️😡 And the "Update" date below the collections is unnecessary and conditioning the customer appreciation.
Olgastocker
Why header is so unreasonably large? Even if contributor doesn't have an avatar, this header really takes up a lot of empty white space. I think content should be a priority for buyers, how do they care about my avatar? Now without sorting ability and empty half-page-header, this is usability degradation, not improvement. What is the reason?
Ermak Oksana
Am I right that there is no sense in uploading new content now? No one would see it. We need to develop our social networks instead?

Hi Kate, They're not stored or cached in the browser, I've tested with cache & cookies cleared and even in a new browser. The old pixelated avatars on the new profile page are linked from - ak.picdn.net/contributors/1234/avatars/thumb.jpg but the new one when it shows up on the contributor dashboard is linked from - cdn.shutterstock.com/contributors/1234/avatars/thumb.jpg Maybe the wrong link coded on the profile page? Yes, depressing isn't it, It's like the page was realeased before it was finished properly, they're apparently going to bring back the 'new' sorting order 'soon' but I seem to remember they said that about the 'followers' link a few years ago so don't hold your breath. Mott Jordan
Thanks Kate Shutterstock, I too was missing the sort by date... glad it's coming back. One of the things a lot of us contributors do is try to anticipate trends. If buyers like your portfolio, it seems that some of them really do check back periodically and scope out your latest stuff. Sometimes I'll see a buyer from an obscure small city (that I am quite sure is the same person) come back and repeat what they did a couple of months ago: Just do a big sweep purchase of most or all my newest stuff, (using up their subscription allotment for the month presumably). That's a good feeling for a contributor, and sort by newest is absolutely essential for that to continue.
Annavee
Like many others, I too miss the sort by 'newest content' possibility
Sheila Fitzgerald
I also would like to be able to sort by new (so I can be sure all new content is there ) But on another note, @Kate Shutterstock , the link from the new portfolio page to share to facebook does NOT work. When I click on it, it opens up my facebook page, but nothing is posted. I have not checked twitter to see if the same thing is true. I just wanted to see how it looked and if it worked, and it didn't work.
Grossinger
I'm with Sheila on the issue of sorting on new. I consider that absolutely essential. Regarding the social links, well OK, you forced me to delete them from my portfolio.
Lia Koltyrina
Thanks for add video tab, but I hope that sort by newest will come back.

lazyllama
Do you have a better estimate of when customers will be able to sort our portfolios by freshest content etc? It's not very helpful to just say 'soon'. Is that next week? Or next month (year)? Personally I would have thought this was an absolute priority and I'm surprised the new format went live without this feature. I don't feel like contributing new content until buyers can actually easily search for this in mu portfolio as it will just disappear very quickly
Colobus
Many years ago I had an idea that your specialists will add sorting by Total Downloads in Top performers block and in Top performers page. And a possibility to switch with sort by Total Earnings. Add sorting is a very easy task. Now I understand how wrong was I, as even more fundamental features are disappearing. And how could it be possible to deploy the site without sorting portfolio by date? Just forgotten? Seriously?
Kenneth Sponsler
I'll just add my 2 cents to all the pleas above to bring back the search by newest (or fresh content) option. Please do it!
