Took the leap...

Recommended Posts

Signed up to sell my first image in a local art gallery today. My first image for sale?  My cardinal in winter on aluminum, of course!  The aluminum print came out absolutely beautiful.  Hoping it generates a lot of buzz around here!  The gallery is going to display it in the front window to try to bring people in!  If this whole metal printing works for me as far as sales go, I may print one or two of my large landscapes that way, and see how that goes.  Definitely a big fan of metal having seen this first image printed that way.  :)

Beautiful photo!  A tip for you.  Work that you sell in art galleries should NEVER be sold on microstock.  It devalues the work and works against you, the art gallery and all photographers.  Also the collector will be furious if he discovers the same work he purchased as fine art is available for pennies on a microstock site! Keep your fine art separate from your stock, and your high end stock separate from microstock.
