Shutterstock on the Red Carpet program is designed with you - our submitter - in mind. Let Shutterstock help you gain special access to film premieres, rock concerts, sporting events, or political rallies.

If there’s a Red Carpet event in your market, we want our photographers there, capturing the action! It’s a great opportunity for you to gain access to special events, and a way for us to build our photo library.

So, if there is an event that you want to capture, we can help get you there! Please fill out the form located here http://submit.shutterstock.com/redcarpet.pdf and email it to us right away at: ontheredcarpet@shutterstock.com

Always remember to try and get your requests in to us as soon as possible. Event access may take some time to coordinate so, the sooner you file your requests, the more likely it will be for us to help you secure the access you want.

We won't know unless we try... Send in your info and we'll see what we can do.

Regarding Nascar - that doesn't count does it? All photos at Nascar events are the property of Nascar -- if I'm wrong, let me know. I have some photos to submit :-)

Next question: golf tournaments too? when i saw "red carpet" I heard red carpet...celebrity type events. Now, I'm thinking more broadly, and I actually might be able to come up with some events.

So far...uhhhhh.....I dunno...

I have had little luck coming up with direct contact info for the appropriate people at NASCAR.

I am on the road this week, but will stop by the track next week(time permitting) to see if I can find someone at the LMS that may be able to point to the correct NASCAR contacts.

I am sure they would be willing to allow additional photography in an effort to promote further growth.

I was too late to make arrangements for the PGA event here in Charlotte - VERY irritating as it is less than 10 minutes from home

vclements - let me know what you find out about Nascar. You probably just need permission from Nascar, now that I think about it. I just recall that on the tickets, it states something like all photos are the property of Nascar. Hopefully, permission would be granted! (I've been to the Charlotte race a couple of times). And, I'm about 90 miles south of Indianapolis so could cover the Indy race if permissible.

NASCAR does not seem to be very forthcoming with media contact information.

I applied at http://www.nascarmedia.com/ yesterday.

Now we wait and see..........

Hello everyone:

To be credentialed properly, for any event, you should fill out the form located here http://submit.shutterstock.com/redcarpet.pdf and email it to us at presspass@shutterstock.com. Let us apply for your access.

Basically, there are some events that are harder to gain access to than others. So, you will have a better chance at access if you let us apply for you.

Sincerely,

Shutterstock Support Team

The contact info got mangled due to the inability to edit the provided PDF.

Why don't you provide a PDF that can be edited.

It's silly to print, fill out, scan then email.

By the time all that is done it will not be remotely legible anyway.

Hello:

That is a good idea. I've already made a request for this link area to be updated. I am not sure when it will happen, but it will.

In the meantime, please print the existing PDF form, fill it out (legibly & completely) and fax it in to (347) 402 0710 or scan and email the pages to presspass@shutterstock.com

Sincerely,

dehooks - the contact for a concert will generally be the venue management who then forwards requests as appropriate.

house of digital - Major League Baseball may be difficult, but not impossible. We won't know until we try... So, send in your info and we'll see what we can do.

Those of you that have not taken advantage of this opportunity really need to look into it.

It's a great opportunity to create some images that you would not normally be able to due to access limitations.

There is nothing like shooting from "inside" the event - it opens up some amzing opportunities for images.

I have some more events coming up soon and can't wait to get in there and shoot!

And don't let the name "Red Carpet" mislead you - I have NASCAR events and Rodeos coming up.

Hardly Hollywood red carpet! (although NASCAR is becoming more Hollywood everyday)
