too stock looking, as an editor and a contributor, rejected

Recommended Posts

As an editor, I am constantly looking for stock footage that is not stock looking, my clients what clips in their videos that are not perfect, not obviously set up as a shoot, something that looks natural, something that might be out of focus a bit or has some noise or shake. As a contributor, I get rejected 75% of the time when I upload footage. A lot of this footage is unused footage from a shoot where I could not find stock that was suitable for a project so I shoot it myself. Its frustrating that it get rejected so often, yet i see footage on SS that is garbage.
