This is just one of the many reasons why I REFUSE to upload any new content to Shutterstock or suggest anyone start selling stock images.

This industry as a whole lacks a sense of direction or common business sense. They have no idea of how value is created or what customers consider to be of value. So all they do is drive business to the ground.

What unnecessary impatience, I received the amount requested yesterday, June 9, 2021 on Paypal. This time again and since 2017, I have always been paid between the 7th and the 12th of the month. Fra

You got an e-mail with your calculated earnings that say "To be paid by 2021-06-15". The FAQ page also says that payment will be "sent between the 7th and 15th day of the month": https://support.submit.shutterstock.com/s/article/How-do-I-get-paid-for-my-work?language=en_US

It is true that the legal deadline for the payment is 15th of the month. However, we all got our money until 4-5th of the month for years. This, after the new plan with low earnings, is just another experiment of "boiling a frog". They will push on us whatever is convenient for them to explore the limits. That is a terrible business tactic, but they are going to force on us everything we are willing to agree on. I don't want to sound like a "conspiracy theory" person, but it is true.

Guy is new in Shutterstock )))

I too have not received my May payment but then I have not crossed the threshold. So can't complain. But there IS cause for concern. Clearly, SS is on ventilator. There are many things not OK at SS. Earlier I used to get approval (in 95% of the cases) for my images uploaded from India within 10-15 minutes (yes, minutes). Now this takes 5-7 DAYS. There are over whelming cases of rejections due to standard reason 'main subject not in focus ..... blah blah blah'. But these images resubmitted without any changes get approved immdtly. Either the approvers have received orders to cut down on acceptance of contributors' images or they need proper eye checkup. Getty images/iStock used to take 3-4 days for approval and I used to fume. Now they are doing much better than SS. In last three months, I have received two intimations from SS that my rate of payments has increased because of certain threshold of higher downloads by users. But my payment is still stuck at 12 cents per download - same as earlier. What's up SS?
