Guess they don't want us searching for greener pastures   My latest two accepted as book covers.  Kindly share your successes outside SS.

My latest few accepted at Arcangel

Filomena came bearing gifts. Latest four accepted potential book covers at Arcangel. New opportunities can't come soon enough as it's pretty much game over at micros at <30cent RPI/downlo

Yes, I thought so - so you have only been uploading to SS ..?

I have indeed.  I started on Alamy but got fed up with how long the keywording takes to do, if you prioritise the keywords.

I also started on Adobe and gave up after a short while.

I also got fed up with checking various dashboards all the time.

Wirestock makes uploading to several agencies much, much easier and I like the fact that you can see all the sales on one dashboard.

Sounds good.

Problem is if SS will allow lots of contributors to begin at level 6 in the long run though. But time will show.

I have also wondered how Stocksubmitter can prioritize the keywords at different agencies ...

Indeed.  I'd forgotten about the Level 6 thing with Sstock via Wirestock.  Another incentive 🙂

No idea re Stocksubmitter ....

My latest 6 accepted book covers at Arcangel (still getting high rejections!)

6 is a good number. I love that wrecked castley place on a hill.  Very atmospheric and creepy.

I am so pleased when some of mine are accepted that it feels like the end of the challenge.

It's easy to lose track of the fact that the ultimate aim is to actual sell them 🙂

When it comes to the new opportunities; what if there are some people out there buying our hard works for ten cents, "mint" them sell them as "NFT" for thousands of dollars without we being aware of it?

No matter what I read, I can't get my head around NFTs.

However, with work like yours ie 'art', there may be a cause for concern ...

In case you aren't on Instagram @David Moreno Hernandez one of your images is featured today by Arcangel 🙂

Thank you so much!  I had not noticed. It is been a while since I took a photo. I am focused on video now and I have not uploaded a single image to Arc, maybe I should give them a chance.

Anyone ever heard about this ClickASnap site? They claim they paying 40 cents per VIEW. ^_^

Yes, but they want you to PAY for it. You only get paid per views if you pay them a monthly fee. Also, they don't pay you 40 cents per view. They pay 0.40 cents. Quite a difference. It's 40cents for 100 views.

Like all agencies they made the math so that it is working out in their favor and they make more money than they pay their contributors. Otherwise it would be a poor business model.

I read through some reviews and they conform my suspicion. For example there is a review from a guy who says he pays 6 pound per month to ClickSnap and earned 48 cents. So he made a minus of 5.52 pounds. Can't find any written review by anyone claiming to make decent money with them.

Thank you so much for the information! I actually searched about them too and couldn't find any proper info at all... Weird.

Anyway... It's something to avoid like a plague obviously.

In case anyone reading this contributes to Arcangel, this email I got from the director, Michael Mascaro, might be of interest.

I asked them why some images of mine (Victorian gravestone statues) were rejected and also why the 'weekly challenges' are no longer taking place and this is his answer.

The new website sounds really good as it means there will be feedback on our submissions:

'The images are solid but we have a fair amount of them already .. The subject itself is not overly popular, so we have to be careful not to end up with a large collection of subjects that are just going to sit in the collection unsold. frustrating for you guys and for us too.

The weekly challenges have been paused while we prepare for the launch of our new website. The new site offers a number of new information channels for our contributors, including a live feedback comment system on your submissions.
Our aim is to reduce the number of rejections and increase your approval rates. Ultimately we hate having to reject images'.

At least they come up with an answer …👍And a good one - not a nonsense standard answer. (At least it’s an answer to the question) 😀

I like this: ‘Ultimately we hate having to reject images'. 🤣🤣😅

Yes, I didn't write to the director but how different to one other site (that I won't mention) that I actually got a reply back from him.

They are getting a lot of practise in at rejections 🙂

It will be great though to have more idea what they are looking for, which is feedback I gave him.

Spending time creating images to have them rejected is demoralising and the time would be much better spent on stuff they might actually need.

By-the-way, I have discovered that Arcangel are on Facebook and that they post more regularly to there than on Instagram and (from my point of view) more helpfully, recently published book covers.

I re-joined Facebook especially to follow them.

They also have Pineterest but Pinterest is weird... Everything looks static and inactive there.
