" Our margin expansion initiatives have begun to take hold..." a euphemism for treating contributors and their files as expendable liabilities to be exploited as much as possible.

"we are accelerating several targeted investments in our platform solutions offering and marketing and brand building to support growth in our subscriptions products....." means we will be offering larger subscription plans at even cheaper prices to customers.

"consistently deliver incremental margin expansion...." means will continue to reduce revenue to contributors.

Makes me want to buy some shares of SS stock, but I know it's violatile, all over the place in value, up this quarter, next quarter who knows.

You are too late, profit's been made! Anyhow you can get a better dividend yield elsewhere. But here is an idea: How about contributors with a portfolio of a certain size and over being made shareholders? Now that would be a nice incentive, with maybe incremental share holding growth as the portfolio grows.

Offer the ability to take payout in the form of shares, at a discount to the market price but with a lock-in period to justify the discount.

I am afraid 98% of contributors don't even know on which stock exchange SS is listed or what the approximate share price is, let alone wanting to bother with opening a trading account (often from "difficult" other countries that the US). It would be a serious undertaking from the administration point of view, especially when they don't even want to pay for reviewers! Don't see it as a feasible route. Also, the share price is so high (relatively speaking) that for most of us here would take 2 months+ to "convert" earnings to a single share or would have to deal with half shares and fractions of a share, etc... Not very practical.

Love that. 'Reverse Robin Hood' ie steal from the poor to give to the rich. Stan the Man is a master of obfuscation.

Blah, blah, blah. If it didn't cost us contributors dearly, it would be almost funny to read how they twist the truth and reality toward their shareholders and try to make it sound like they (management) are financial geniuses, whereas all it is is that the 17 cent increase to them per download all came out of the contributors' pockets. Just boggles the mind how they twist words!

Whodathunkit? Shutterstock & Covid-19 as a double whammy for contributors (less dls + lower payments) result in a double profit boost for SS. Subscription utilization by clients is down which means SS  makes more on its subscriptions by doing nothing. Of course, at some point clients are going to reconsider their image plans and possibly move from 750dls/month to 350dls/month and use all of the 350 dls allowed.
