  1. I am resubmitting my already accepted pictures after filter them imitating watercolor paintings. When I submit more than one at the same time, they are all rejected with : - Property release missing - Reference missing - Keywords - Model release missing - Artwork property release missing And the last rejection blasted my mind with "Digital Conversion quality: Content has quality issues caused by the scanning/digitalization process (e.g. visible debris, stretching, distortion, etc)". I don't want to criticized the review but the review doesn't take in consideration nor see what a read "WATER COLOR PAINTING" looks like. Do you have any such rejection experience to share ?
  2. Hi, Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year ! I am facing rejections in my watercolors, stating - " Invalid Artwork Property Release: One or more of the attached artwork property releases does not meet our requirements." I am attaching a copy of the property release I submitted. Could you please tell me what I did wrong ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Rudra
  3. Hi All, Im water colorist and pattern designer recently joined this website. I usually do painting on paper not digital vector designs. I would be happy if you as watercolor pattern designer/Illustrator share your experience about selling on Shutter Stock, it seems it is a good platform for vector files, but Im not sure about non-vector patterns. What is your experience do you recommend it? Thank you
  4. Will someone please explain this to me. In the last 2 days I have had around 14 images rejected the last two days for unacceptable auto trace. All images are jpegs, not vectors. I created all of them either by layering 2 grunge backgrounds or doing a pattern overlay of a simple image. Most of the pattern overlays are simple watercolor backgrounds. I have over 400 images and most of them were created just like this. Just wanting to understand what the problem is and how to work around it. Thank you for your help in advance!
  5. How do I upload watercolour vector? If I make a image trace of it, it does not get accepted.

  17. Hi all, Currently I spend a lot of time correcting photos of art and I often say "there must be an easier way!" One of the main problems, for instance, is a detailed pencil sketch always looks rather gray in the photograph and bumping up levels, contrast, or other things to get a nice white background will often white out the fine details of the pencil. Eventually I like my final product, but it takes me a long time to get there. Watercolor or oil paintings I've made can be difficult as well, especially portraits with skin tones, to get the color, texture, and transparency to look like the actual artwork. I'm definitely more of an artist than a photographer, so I basically have the camera set on automatic and would welcome any advice beyond that. I've also tried a scanner at 600 fine DPI, but didn't really like that when looked at close up. I've read that some people have had good success in paying for scans at places like Kinkos, but I've not tried that. I'd love one of those super expensive museum archive quality art scanners! (OK, I'm dreaming about that).
