  1. Hi! I’m new here and have only uploaded sets of vectors. I’m thinking of uploading some vector art scenarios but I’m kind of hesitant because I’m afraid clients would reuse parts of it for other purpose. To be clear, for example I’d like to upload a community scene wherein it includes houses in a rows. How do I make sure that the client wouldn’t reuse one of the houses in another project? Or they’re completely allowed to reuse parts of it since they’ve paid for it? A little help will do cause I’m a bit confused in this area. Thank you! Stay safe.
  2. Hi there! I have good news for all microstockers! If you make a vector you should try this script. Stock Master can automatically prepare vector files for microstocks. It scans a vector file and fixes mistakes such as open paths, ghost shapes, bitmap, symbols, brushes, effects, etc. You can free download this script here mai-tools.com
  3. I have created a vector of the ancient philosopher, Aristotle, because I need it for an educational project. The original drawing was from an compilation of ancient statues of him. I actually took parts of him, like his eyes, from people I know, but the whole thing is what I imagine he looked like. (I am creating a course on Logic and Aristotle's Triangle.) Shutterstock has many pictures of his statue and sketches, etc. of him, and they are not editorial. I have submitted pictures of ancient Greek statues and have had them accepted before. And I included my original sketch as a reference document. But I was rejected for intellectual property. I could submit it as editorial. What would you do? Wait for a new reviewer or just accept that restriction? Thanks for any advice. (And yes, I am a beginner illustrator. I'll get better....)

  6. Very unintentionally and accidentally I saw in similar images my but "not my' image /: Just look at it. This is mine: And this one is copyrighted by another artist - chutima kuanamon : ??? What do you think? Are these pictures similar or not? This is a link to this strange portfolio: https://www.shutterstock.com/pl/g/chutima+kuanamon?sort=popular Maybe you'll find your pictures too .. By the way, what should I do? I really don't like this cyan background. This image isn't new and I'm quite shocked about this situation.
  7. I know that SS requires vector artboard size to be above 4MP. But today, I realized that it must be less than 25MP as well? Is this something new or has been there all the while?
  8. A vector I created in Affinity Designer is continuously getting rejected by SS with reason Linked Images / Bitmaps / Raster Effects. It's a pure flat vector and I exported it with rasterise nothing selected. All other major stock sites have accepted the vector! Not sure why SS is rejecting the file. Anyone have similar with EPS exported from Affinity Designer?
  9. Hi, guys Time from to time Shutterstcok rejects some of vector portraits of some celebrities. So, here the question: Which celebrities can be illustrated and uploaded to Shutterstock and which not?
  10. I've previously uploaded 2 vectors with no issues. But for some reason this current one that I'm trying to upload keeps coming up with the error posted above. The dimensions are 2400 x 2674px... so 6.42 megapixels I'm not sure what they mean by my artwork and not my artboard. The entire artboard/canvas area is covered.
  11. Hello dear Contributors I have been working on SS platfom for more than a year with regular addition of images on it. But I hardly earn anything. Kindly suggest me to improve my profile. I would be grateful. Thank you!!!
  12. "The size of your artwork (not the size of the artboard) must be at least 4 megapixels." This is the message I keep getting. I haven't uploaded any vectors since SS made it "easier" and now this message keeps appearing. What's the catch? Thanks in advance for your help.
  13. Hi there, I'm new here in shutterstock. I'm trying to set up my workspace, more specifically as an icon designer. I've seen some contributors uploading their icon packs but I can't seem to find any technical requirements regarding those. What I'm still confused of is: How to upload multiple submission that belong in a pack? What are the technical requirement? Is it the same as vector requirement? As far as I know, vectors are required to be at leas 4MP. This seems too big for individual icons. For comparison, Flaticon's requirement for individual icon is at least 16x16 and at most 512*512. Is there any minimum quantity for a set of icons to be considered a pack? Can I add/remove items after being submitted? I know these questions might be too obvious for veteran contributors, but I'd be really grateful if anyone can give me a thorough explanations on how these works. I've been banned before for some technical ambiguity and I'm really afraid to start if I'm not sure about the rule. Thanks. -Ggdz
  14. Hi there, In addition to my pics and video portfolio here I decided to give a try to upload some of my original vector artwork. I am a big fan of the american sports mascot style and I have done a lot of concept mascots. I uploaded a few of them a couple of days ago and today I sold one for 33 cents. Okay, I know that is the regular price, but do the buyers get a small res .jpg file for that price or do they get the .eps file?? If the can download the .eps file for so cheap, what will stop them for making whatever they want with it - merch, prints, so on? And those of you, who sell vectors mostly - how are the earnings? Does it worth it?
  15. Hi folks! This is my first ever post in this forum. So I've been facing an issue with my vector eps files. My old files have enough space around each of them, but 2 recently approved items don't have although I kept enough space around each of them. Why is it happening? I'm little bit frustrated Please help me. TIA! Best th_studio

  17. hello everyone, I need critic comments and suggestions from all of you who already earn here from vector and illustration. I started the Shutterstock vector artist a long time ago and only get 6 $ until now😂, with a range of only one vector per month being downloaded. I submitted several new vectors as a trial but none of my new vectors were downloaded. What do you think about my portfolio ? Thankyou so much all, i appreciated it
  18. Hi guys! Starting from 12/21/2019 (every day) I noticed that Earnings Summary by dates and Latest downloads sections showing wrong revenue and different download counts. For example if Latest downloads shows 5 downloads, Earnings Summary shows 4 downloads only It means that Shutterstock lost 1 image in my daily earnings for 12/21/2019 On the further days there is difference from 1 to 6 images which wasn't taking into account. Today difference is: Latest downloads - 31, Earnings Summary - 23 Does anyone noticed this bug?
  19. Using freeform gradient tool in Adobe AI 2020 and saving eps in version 10, getting error rejection "Your vector contains either pixel based bitmap objects or raster effects (“fx”). Remove these effects or objects and upload your file again." The attached file I had been using as a pattern background. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem. Thank you. Kelly first-07.eps
