  1. Will someone please explain this to me. In the last 2 days I have had around 14 images rejected the last two days for unacceptable auto trace. All images are jpegs, not vectors. I created all of them either by layering 2 grunge backgrounds or doing a pattern overlay of a simple image. Most of the pattern overlays are simple watercolor backgrounds. I have over 400 images and most of them were created just like this. Just wanting to understand what the problem is and how to work around it. Thank you for your help in advance!
  2. Hello everyone, I'm new in Shutterstock and a few days ago I have uploaded some editorial photos and got rejected for Unacceptable Editorial Caption. so my question here is how to edit the caption and resubmit the photo in Shutterstock? or I have to deleted and uploaded again? the photos now in the reviewed section. thanks
  3. I got this rejection from a bunch of editorial photos submitted: Unacceptable Editorial Caption -- Editorial captions must describe the subject matter (who, what, where, when) and must be in English. Editorial captions cannot contain special characters or repeat words/phrases in excess. All the images HAD the appropriate descriptions and of course in English. Is this a bug?
  4. Hi, I got few images rejected due to the unacceptable editorial caption. I have few editorial images accepted a while ago, and now wanted to upload a few more. Since it was a long time ago since I read the instructions for editorial captions, i read the again now. I followed then, or so I thought, coming up with something like this (image attached): GLASGOW, UK - NOVEMBER 2 - A construction site in the City Center of Glasgow on November 2. Site illustrates high health and safety standards. Can you tell me what is wrong with this image? Or how else I could upload it as? Thank you
  5. Hello all! Interesting things happen here. Yesterday I uploaded about 40 images of Saint Patricks' Day celebration. All of them had the same editorial caption: MOSCOW - MARCH 18, 2017: Saint Patrick's Day celebration in Sokolniki park in Moscow. Color photo. I got approval for 2 images only. All the rest have been rejected for Unacceptable editorial caption. What is especially interesting - I submitted files in batches of 3-4 photos, so in one batch there were 3 files, one accepted, another 2 rejected for "Unacceptable editorial caption", though all 3 files have the same caption and depict the same topic - people in festive costumes. To me this is a kind of phenomenal - what's your opinion?
