  2. Hello All, First time poster here reaching out for general advice. I'm just a hobbyist looking to parlay my joys for travel and photography into some extra cash. I joined Shutterstock at the beginning of the month (yes I know, one of the many newbs flooding SS). Since then I've uploaded about 150 photos, and have only received about 20 downloads - averaging +/- 1 dl per day. Some of my questions: - It's too early for me to notice any trends or identify strengths of my portfolio, but I know I haven't found a niche quite yet. Can any seasoned users offer input on this? Does a suitable market even exist for travel/architectural images? What about weaknesses? - Is it best to strive for volume and upload every half-decent photo I take, or is it better to be selective and curate only my strongest shots? Do weaker images dilute a portfolio and hurt chances of success? Any advice you can offer is appreciated! Best, Greg
