  1. Hi guys! Starting from 12/21/2019 (every day) I noticed that Earnings Summary by dates and Latest downloads sections showing wrong revenue and different download counts. For example if Latest downloads shows 5 downloads, Earnings Summary shows 4 downloads only It means that Shutterstock lost 1 image in my daily earnings for 12/21/2019 On the further days there is difference from 1 to 6 images which wasn't taking into account. Today difference is: Latest downloads - 31, Earnings Summary - 23 Does anyone noticed this bug?
  2. Hi everyone! I live in Peru and I’m working with a company that have eco lodges in the national reserve of tambopata, Madre de Dios. It’s a pristine undisturbed place to see a loooot of wildlife, And filming wildlife full time is my gol. So I’m thinking about stook footage as an income and doing what I love. I have a good relationship with the founder and owner of the lodges and we are evaluating a company option. He will finance equipment, flight tickets to tambopata, food, transport, lodging, permits, etc. In exchange I will put my time as camera man, editing the clips and upload them. So this is great as you can see, but he as the investor want to know how the money will eventually return (we both know this is a long term project). I’ve already made a cash flow but there is just one data missing to be more realistic. And that is: in one month, how many clips do you guys sell from the clips you have upload, and what was the income for that month? I could find in the web only the $income for the number of sold clips, but is missing the number of clips been uploaded in total and for that month. Knowing that number, I could estimate roughly the number of clips I need to make per month to see an income in the x year. Please notice this is for footage, not photos. I know this is a valuable information and I would really appreciate it since this is an exception opportunity for me, please can you guys give me a hand with this? Thanks in advance!
  3. I have started upload photo-videos 5 month ago. My revenue by this time is 130$(I have 30+ downloads every month). So, What is a minimum monthly revenue?!
  4. Hello to all fellow Shutterstock contributors! I've been submitting images to Shutterstock for a couple of years now, here and there and have a small portfolio of 500 or so images. These earn on a monthly average, about $10-15 or annually, I earn around $0.45 per image / per year on average (this has gone up from an average of $0.40 / per image / per year. Much of my portfolio is Editorial. I do very little Commercial model-released stock, though around 50% is wildlife and landscape images. I'm just curious as to how those with larger portfolios and a longer track-record with Shutterstock are doing? Especially those who have a fair bit of Editorial stock in their collection, as it helps me plan how much time I devote to Shutterstock in the future. To be frank, Shutterstock has a fair volume of sales, but I find that $0.25 and $1.88 licenses don't really supply me with enough money to cover the high cost of producing stock images. I would also be interested to hear from anyone who is making reasonable returns with a 50/50 editorial/commercial collection similar in subject matter to my own. Thanks in advance and look forward to reading any replies!
  5. Hello, I've recently sold a video and i've received only $4.47, which is kind of odd since none of their pricing match that fee to the contributor..has anyone here had the same 'issue'? event if it was sold as a web video which cost 19 euros the contributor should receive 5.7 euros, which is more than what i've received. Any of your thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Adi
  6. Hello! A quick and simple question here. I have some really good photos from photoshoots I've done very casually with my friends, which they agreed to let me use commercially after I got on Shutterstock--although it was not originally planned. From an ethical point of view, any revenue made from such photos should be split between me and them. But how? Does the community have a standard or an opinion on this?
  7. Hi Friends, I purchased i phone SE and started shooting videos in 4K mode and SS already accepted almost 100 of footage. As I am a newcomer and quite new in the area of Videos,I am little bit anxious about selling the footage in SS. Can any SS Friend tell me regarding the sell and revenues from footage in general form? Does 4K sell? Partha Pal from India
