  5. Hi guys! Just wondering if Shutterstock will allow me to upload images of the Eiffel Tower at night? I have some beauties of the Fireworks show from Bastille Day I'd like to upload, but get the feeling they'll get rejected. Has anyone had any experience with this? I've done a search and seen a few Eiffel Tower at night photos on here - would those photographers need to have certain permissions? Thanks!
  6. Took this whilst photographing the Paris floods on last week. All thoughts welcome.

  11. I do not have a model release for this, would it be suitable for the editorial collection (with a suitable caption)? I have a series from this event, it was a free fire dance show at a local exhibition (there were no restrictions on cameras). Also, is there any market for editorial images, where the use rights are so restricted?
  12. This was supposed to be a mugger in an alley at night illuminated by streetlight (hence the deliberate shadows) but was rejected for "poor lighting". Any suggestions?

  13. Hi, I submitted two batches of files with this style as illustrations. The first batch was all accepted and is now available. The entire second batch was rejected with the reason "poor execution". I re-submitted the second batch, and the entire batch was rejected with the reason "poor post processing". I thought post processing only applied to photos, and not illustrations? I did submit a reference photo for each illustration. Why would the first batch be approved without issue, and the second batch rejected with the two different reasons given?

  15. hi guys just thought I'd share that one of my clips opens the new Kanye West video 'Wolves' Thanks to Shutterstock I've managed to catch the attention of a superstar! Something to tell the grandkids right
  16. Dear Sirs, I am facing WB rejections of these shots. These shots were taken at night, with few spot lights (two you can see here) with changing lights falling on the masked dancers. The color of the lights changed according to the rhythm , speed , mood of the background music and mood of the dance presented - in say, every 15/30 seconds of so. Hence, I shot them in Auto WB mode. While submitting them after correcting the WB as I remembered , most often than not, I am facing the WB rejection. Please advise how to avoid this WB rejection. Regards, Rudra
  17. 1.Editorial Caption--Image requires proper caption and must be tagged as editorial 2.Overuse--Image has excessive noise reduction and/or excessive sharpening effects applied First it came back negative because of editorial content, I corrected that problem and submitted it again. I thought it would then be accepted, yet again, but not.. Because of the second reason above. I didn't touch anything on the pic before resubmitting. I don't understand again.. Thanks for your comments ! Cedric

  18. Overuse--Image has excessive noise reduction and/or excessive sharpening effects applied I admit I played with the exposure of the steel bars in front of the building, but I didn't over sharpened it. Any ideas why it hasn't been accepted ? Thanks Cedric

  20. From the album: Geneva by night

Poor lighting-image has exposure issues. unfavorable lighting condittions and/or incorrect white balance.Trademark-image / Metadata potentially. My city doesn't have white lights, and why couldn't it be artistically possible to leave the original colors or play with them ? Thanks for your comments, I need to improve my accepted files ratio :-)
