  1. Normally I wouldn’t have made an exposure at sunset of my local lighthouse but after a wonder about with my camera that morning I stumbled upon a composition I felt would yield an amazing image. Eleven hours later I was back at this location setting up my camera hopeful to capture a beautiful sunset image of this lighthouse. Blessed with medium and high level clouds I was able to capture some amazing color to make an image I'm quite happy with.

  2. After visiting this location several times I was lucky on this particular morning to find these interesting stones which not only served as an anchor for the image but also created a great leading line with the waves towards this recently refurbished lighthouse.

  3. Now I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but I even though I'm new, I still try to abide by the rules. Submitted this as an editorial, with the description "Southwold, Norfolk. England - November 4, 2018: The Victorian lighthouse, white painted with it's beacon, pictured against an Autumn sky". Put it in two categories Buildings/landmarks and Objects. Sat back and waited for it to be added to the port. All I got was this rejection " Press Credentials: This image was taken at an event requiring press credentials. Please send your press credentials to credentials@shutterstock.com prior to submitting this content" Now, the lighthouse opened in the town in 1890, and the lamp has a range of 44km. Not sure that the white light flashing every 10 seconds constitutes an event, but someone obviously does!

    Knidos

Eudoxos, one of the most famous ancient mathematicians and astronomers, was from Knidos as was Sostratos, the architect who designed the lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. But this is a modern lighthouse, situated on the top of the island and overlooking city’s two ancient Harbors: the commercial port located on the northern side of a promontory and the military port located on the southern.

  5. I found this place was so interesting and the scenery there was brilliant. Since it is a government's property, so I rarely to get a chance to come there. Do comment this picture and help me improve my skill and knowledge. See also my works in here : https://www.shutterstock.com/g/Lensakopak
