  4. Hi there fellow contributors. After i couldn't really find a worldwide Shutterstock group on Facebook, i decided to make one myself. I found there were Shutterstock groups for contributors from other countries but nothing which was worldwide. I would like to invite everybody to join the group and talk about Shutterstock and photography. We can show latest images and talk about tips and tricks. Maybe even make some new friends? .. Later we can even try to organize somekind of meeting for those who are interested. Hope to see you there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1686048705011055/

  7. Hi contributors...there is a group on Facebook (name: STOCK VIDEO PROMOTION) has been created to promote stock videography. It is a "hub" between sellers and buyers. You can share and make known your creations. Feel free also to leave your comments, invite other videographers and share your knowledge. As well as advertising and web agencies, movie studios, publishers, can take a look at the creative works that are published and, why not, directly interact with the videographer. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1634887400112299 Good luck

  9. I find conflicting opinions on uploading images to Facebook. There is the infamous part of Facebook terms of service that by uploading photo to Facebook I grant a transferable royalty-free license etc. You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings. In addition: For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.So... As many people are, I am sort of afraid to upload my photos to Facebook. I share photos on my private website, but I'd also like to upload some photos (which I sell in Shutterstock) to Facebook as well. Do you guys do it? Should I be afraid? Shutterstock uploads some photos to their profile. Does this mean they grant Facebook a license as well?
  10. Hi everyone, First of all sorry if it is in the wrong thread but I didn't know quite exactly where I should post this. Searching for stuff on youtube I recently went over this little thingy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIypQF1yogk Some of you probably don't speak french but I'm sure if you watch it you'll get to the point. Basically, it's showing people how to download free images by facebook ads through some king of bug I think. Can someone from the shutterstock staff confirm this issue? Have a great selling day everyone,
  11. .Is it allowed to post a referral link (contributors or customers) into social media in order to increase my sales?
  12. Shutterstock is not posting my sales to Facebook. I've checked my Facebook settings and permissions are correct. I've also checked my settings on Shutterstock and those are correct. Please repair and advise.
  13. FB has applied for a patent and it was approved, something new they are soon to start that will affect every and anyone on FB. This involves you and your credit scores. I know lots here use FB and are all friends in some way on some FB page so you are going to need to pay close attention to this. Your friends credit scores will be used for any loan you are going to apply for such as a car or a house so get ready to do a big FB cleanup of friends you have because their score will affect whether or not you will get the loan you are applying for. http://fortune.com/2015/08/04/facebook-loan-approval-network/
  14. Click the Facebook button in submit.shutterstock.com, it shows: Your Facebook connection is active. You can configure updates below. Then I checked this two option: V. Update Facebook automatically when new work is accepted. V. Update Facebook automatically when your work is sold. And then click the "Update Settings" button. The page refreshes, and these two options become unchecked. Why? And in my Facebook account I didn't see there is any auto-update after several days.
