  1. Hi there! I have good news for all microstockers! If you make a vector you should try this script. Stock Master can automatically prepare vector files for microstocks. It scans a vector file and fixes mistakes such as open paths, ghost shapes, bitmap, symbols, brushes, effects, etc. You can free download this script here mai-tools.com
  2. Is it possible to pass the check? Has anyone succeeded? EPS made with such as these apps? CorelDraw Inkscape Affinity Designer
  3. A vector I created in Affinity Designer is continuously getting rejected by SS with reason Linked Images / Bitmaps / Raster Effects. It's a pure flat vector and I exported it with rasterise nothing selected. All other major stock sites have accepted the vector! Not sure why SS is rejecting the file. Anyone have similar with EPS exported from Affinity Designer?
  4. Hello! I made a seamless pattern. I expanded every element of my pattern, but I keep getting the error 'Your vector has an unexpanded pattern fill. Expand all the pattern fills and upload your file again.' I searched for solutions online but can't seem to find one that fixes my problem. I followed these instructions to make my seamless pattern: https://www.elancreativeco.com/seamless-patterns-using-pattern-tool-illustrator/ As you can see, expanding the pattern is part of these instructions. I also tried turning everything in a compound path, but with no results. Anyone any idea how to solve this problem? I would be really thankful!
  5. Hi folks! This is my first ever post in this forum. So I've been facing an issue with my vector eps files. My old files have enough space around each of them, but 2 recently approved items don't have although I kept enough space around each of them. Why is it happening? I'm little bit frustrated Please help me. TIA! Best th_studio
  6. Using freeform gradient tool in Adobe AI 2020 and saving eps in version 10, getting error rejection "Your vector contains either pixel based bitmap objects or raster effects (“fx”). Remove these effects or objects and upload your file again." The attached file I had been using as a pattern background. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem. Thank you. Kelly first-07.eps
  7. In this guide on tips to reduce EPS files, Shutterstock recommends using symbols. I assume that means symbols can be left as they are without the need to expand appearance. I want to know if it is still true. I know that expanding symbols only takes a few seconds, but if it is not required by Shutterstock reviewers, then I want to leave them as they are so that buyers can modify them with ease.
  8. In order to decrease 4mp EPS vector file size, I use 72 and even 32 ppi transparency preset which I made them from transparency flattener presets in adobe illustrator. This method reduces for example a 75 mb eps file size to 7.5 mb without any loss of quality and 4 mp dimension. I'd like to know other ideas about this method of decreasing file size.
  9. Does anyone experience issues with uploading EPS files? Every time I uploaded vector EPS files (without JPGs according latest guidlines), no matter via FTP client or website form - they just disappeared like I never uploaded them. They never appeared: empty page, no files at all. When I tried to upload vectors in old-fashion way (along with JPG preview images) I got an error "you have to mark those images as illustrations", which means basically that the system still accepts raster images, but refuses vector files for some reason, no matter if they accompanied with JPSs or not.
  10. How do you manage to add the metadata to the eps file? Please, help! How to simplify the processes in connection with innovations regarding the vector? I'm slowly losing my mind :))) I used to add a metadata to a JPG in ACDsee. And now I do not even know ... Now I copy and paste the description and keywords manually. Maybe this is done easier using any program uploader? Please, help!
  11. I'm trying to upload a small sized (e.g. 500kb) simple vector which I made with Affinity Designer on ipad and exported in EPS format in this app. The problem is that I always get a "too small file it should be 4Mpx at least.." error message but the canvas size is 6000x4000 px in Affinity Designer. What should I do? Thanks for the answers.
  12. I recently started uploading vectors on shutterstock. When I upload my 4th vector as EPS 10 format, which is accepted, but now available as high quality JPEG file. Where is my eps gone? https://www.shutterstock.com/image-illustration/beautiful-indian-girl-oil-lamp-dipak-1394154497?src=aewDwgowRWYXwn_66_FjlA-1-1
  13. I will stop sending vectors to Shutterstock until developers find the solution on how to upload eps vectors without rejection. https://www.shutterstock.com/blog/size-matters-how-to-avoid-a-too-large-or-too-small-vector-rejection If you’re creating vectors using Inkscape, we recommend you submit your vectors no larger than 400px on the largest side. Inkscape does not retain the dimensions of the artboard when saved down to Ai EPS 8 or 10. Saving it at 400px by 400px will ensure that your vector will open on the artboard for our customers.
  14. Hi I'm wondering about file formats having to be either JPEG or EPS. I am able to convert PNGs to EPS, but will the file have the same vector qualities as a work that was actually made in illustrator or similar? And why doesn't shutterstock accept PNGs whose resolution is really high, in addition to vectors/eps? Surely a png file that retains the same quality even if it's enlarged to the full size of a wall is good enough even if it's not vector, or perhaps I am missing something obvious?
  15. I have 4 sets resolutions of the same eps files. I have at 7680x4320, 100050x6700, 8200x6150 and 8200x8200. I already submitted the files 7680x4320, everything ok, can I also add the other 3 sets? Thanks
  16. Hi! Anyone know how to get around this issue?: I created a fake glow effect using a circular gradient. The outer stop is 0% opacity but when I try to upload I get a raster fx error message. Not sure why a gradient is being flagged as a raster effect.
  17. 20. Hello, illustrators. Etsy Problem again. Some people resell vector files (EPS etc) from microstocks. I already found several of my vector images. Take a look at those Etsy shops, maybe your vector illustrations are also there. https://www.etsy.com/shop/6DogArts?ref=l2-shopheader-name https://www.etsy.com/shop/DigitalPoliArt?ref=l2-shopheader-name https://www.etsy.com/shop/BKAWorkshop?ref=l2-shopheader-name https://www.etsy.com/shop/ALEXANDRARTES?ref=l2-shopheader-name None of microstocks' licenses allows to resell files, it's infringement. Let's find our stolen images and report the sellers. The more illustrators will report the infringement, the better. We work hard to draw all those images, and in the meantime some geniuses make easy money just taking dozens of our images, making sets and reselling it on Etsy. I guess, these four shops it's only a small part of the problem. I think there are more "entrepreneurs" like that. It's a shame that Etsy.com became a perfect platform for selling stolen images.
  21. Hello! I'm working with Shutterstock for the second year, but is the first time that I met so mass rejections situation. And I don't understand why it happens. I'm checking the files with the requirements more than once. Resubmiting more than once. But among 40 files with absolutely identical color settings there is 20 approved files and 20 rejected. All rejections - for the one same reason - "the JPEG preview does not match the EPS file or is low resolution." In eps (in all objects) and in jpg - same color model, RGB. Eps and jpg is looking exactly the same - I checked it with different programs. File size - 6250x6250 px. So it can not be either? Sometimes the support center advises just to resubmit the files if it were rejected by mistake. But if it's really a mistake - I'm very concerned about the number of rejections which sometimes accumulates in the profile. I have done a lot of materials, but I can't download it when the approving system is so unstable. And when it's impossible to understand - when the file will be approved and when will be rejected - even if it is the same file prepared according to the requirements and with the same settings. Recently I contacted with support center, but I hear nothing but obvious (I read about it in articles and on the forum many times already). All about standart requirements what I already follow in all files. It's doesn't help. But I really want to solve this problem. What should I do for this? Or what can we do together? Thank you in advance for your attention. I really love working with Shutterstock and I want to stay here in future. But now it's so much causeless loss of time and my hands are falling. Please, help!
  22. I have an illustrator file with 6 artboards, all the same size. From this file I have generated 6 eps10 and 6 jpg. So I have 6 jpg and 6 eps10 with the same names by pair. I have uploaded all these files on Shutterstock. With 4 pairs of them I have not had any problem (already reviewed and accepted). But with 2 pairs of them the eps is always refused (not attached to the jpg - only the jpg load). I have tried many times, with ftp and with the direct upload from the site. I have noticed that the 2 eps files stay on the ftp server, so it seems that they are not transferred from the server to the site (or where they should be transferred) I have verified my files and there are no errors. But I still cannot upload these to files This is driving me crazy!
  23. Hello i'm a beginner , i upload a vector illustration, the rejection reason is: " EPS Format -- EPS file must be compatible with Illustrator version 8 or 10. " I use Adobe Illustrator CC , like usual i saved " Illustrator EPS (*.EPS) " format. Is there a way to save the EPS file compatible with illustrator 8 or 10 version from Adobe Illustrator CC ? Or which version of illustrator i must use for preparing/saving my works compatible with İllustrator version 8 or 10 ? I don't have information about this and if you can help me it would be so helpful for me... Thanks
  24. Hello! Please hepl me, I don't now that to do. I am on SS from Nowember, I upload many EPS files earlier. Everithink was ok. 25. Over the last couple of days I am suddenly getting rejections on submitted eps vector illustration due to the file size exceeding 15MB. I have never had this problem before. Has something changed with the Adobe Illustrator CC app (v 22.0.1) I can't get the file sizes down. I have try not imbedding file information, no thumbnail, removed unused objects, checked for rasterized objects, etc...all things I have never had to concern myself with before. I can get this last one down below 22 MB. Anyone experiencing the same or similar thing?
