  3. What's the best thing to do when uploading buildings or other things with logos? Is it best to shop them out or upload them for editorial use only? I searched the forum, but I didn't see anything about this, but if there's any other topics that already cover this, please let me know. Also, any critiques on my portfolio are welcome as well.
  4. Hi. I tried to upload the photo of empty Vantaa railroad station as editorial content. Previously they approved such pictures (for example Stockholm or Moscow metro station). Pictures from this station from other authors are available in Shutterstock too: https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/helsinki-finland-1-jan-2017-opened-549452275?src=PfdePeIoE7jKfMUgZUkRmg-1-14, https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/helsinki-finland-1-jan-2017-opened-549452287, https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/helsinki-finland-1-jan-2017-opened-549452296and more. But they declined my pictures from same station with statement "Non-Licensable Content -- Due to legal compliance restrictions, we cannot license this content in our collection". But why, if they already have such pictures in their collection? I tried it twice with same result. What the double standards?
  5. Hello, Im not a pro but trying to improve. I Think this is a good pic but would appreciate your comments Thanks !
  6. Hello there dear friends, newbie is here. This shot rejected due to "Poor Lighting--Image has exposure issues, unfavorable lighting conditions, and/or incorrect white balance" reasons. What do you think about the photo as general and what can I do for getting accepted. Thanks for your time.
  7. Hi there. I have a few photos of recognisable buildings and structures recently rejected, due to 'intellectual rights' and 'property release required'. i understand why this would be the case, but when I search through SS I find many other similar shots, and I have to wonder how did these find their way in the catalogue - I find it hard to believe that all of these had the approval of the building owners. Have the rules been tightened? How can a photo of a recognisable building (that does display any trademark or logo) infringe another party's intellectual rights? Same applies for product packaging - I can see literally hundreds of shots showing product packaging in SS that I'm guessing do not have the owners rights in place. Keen to get other's perspectives on this. Cheers
