  1. My understanding is people buy NFTs in anticipation of the appreciation of artwork. So they would buy from those well-established artists, it doesn't matter what the underlying message or aesthetics of the art piece is. What I see those artworks are mainly pixelated or 3D graphics, how about photography? Why would anyone buy an online photo from an unknown photographer for thousands of dollars?
  2. I explore the topic a little bit but it seems only those well known artists can earn an income from their NFTs. Or am I wrong? Also gas fee and other transaction costs are really high, and you need to pay gas fee first and wait for sale. So potentially you end up paying a significant amount of money and earn nothing. I'm curious to know if anyone tried NFT and made some income?
  3. I felt extremely heartbroken watching the news. I saw people searching for oxygen for their love ones, and many of the patients weren't even admitted to the hospitals...I still remember vividly how much sufferings my mom had to endure when she had difficulty to breathe during her final stage of cancer. But at least she had good medical care...I just can't imagine watching your love ones dying on the street. The number of cases are dropping now, hopefully with more people get vaccinated, things will return normal later this year. Stay safe!
  4. Reading from your comments, I think my situation is a bit different since I've been trapped in my city for the past 15 months. So unlike some of you who can visit other cities at least, it's not possible for me. 😂 What I can do is to explore more of our countryside. Idyllic villages, sea cliffs, hidden beaches etc. I'm quite surprised many of these rural areas are actually very scenic, sometimes even world-class. I also watched a lot of travel or street walking videos, hopefully I can visit all these places in the near future.
  5. I don't think it's possible for me, but for you in different parts of the world, is travelling coming back?
  6. That's really a weekend surprise for me, especially it is just an usual shot of our city's skyline without any post processing.
  7. With sales plummeting across different microstock sites, I'm just wondering if there's any future for the market. So at the end, will most amateur contributors give up, leaving the market to be dominated by few players?
  8. Guess we still need to wear it for quite some time...even after vaccine is rolled out. Winter is coming, people are staying indoors, inevitably there will be a surge in cases, hopefully the death rate can be kept low.
  9. It has been 10 months since I wore mask. I still remember the first day (Jan 15) of mask wearing, I had a little flu and wore a mask as usual. And my boss asked me if I was feeling unwell. Then I constantly queued up for masks, disinfectant wipes but luckily no need to hoard toilet paper. I tried to evade any touching of handles, railings or doors in public place, somehow my feet have replaced my hands. During holiday, I went to remote places and enjoyed the beach by myself. Nobody, just the sound of waves and wind. There have been no more social gatherings, no more me
  10. My income is so little that I don't even care if there's such feature.
  11. I can imagine the following shots may sell well though: 1. Work from home 2. Cooking 3. Family time 4. Toilet paper...
  12. On one hand, the demand for photos has reduced due to coronavirus (unless you focus on medical or current affairs). On the other hand, since many of the photographers are at home, they have more time to upload photos thus increases supply. So your newly uploaded photos are more likely to be buried away. Or am I wrong? What is your thought?
  13. Sales in Feb were bad. But surprising sales in March have been steady and better than in previous years. And most of my photos are travel related, I couldn't figure out why sales keep coming even with global lockdown.
