  1. Is anyone else getting a huge number of 10 cent sales today? I normally only have 20-30 downloads a day. It's only 11am and I'm already approaching 200, but they are all 10 cent (at level 5) sales from India.
  2. I Love FAA, but, I'm digital artist, not a photographer, so I face less in the way of competition. I also tend to have have a different offering there than I do in microstock. So, I might be having more success there than others. I've been on FAA since 2011 and made ~$40,000.00 there over the years. You have a lot of control there and can set you own markups for every size of every product for each image. You can start for free, but the limit is 30 images on sale. You do get your own "website" if you pay the $30 annual fee (just to pimp mine: www.DanielEskridge.com ). The past three months I've had a rather big bump in sales there...perhaps due to everyone being stuck at home. That bump has started to come down a little, but that could also be that father's day is the last "gifting" holiday for a while and we are pretty much past the point of orders arriving by then.
  3. This just landed in my email: In the coming weeks, Shutterstock will be updating the earnings structure that determines how much you get paid when customers license your work. We are making this adjustment in order to reflect changes in the market for creative content, help to create fair opportunities for all our contributors, and reward performance with greater earnings potential. Starting on June 1st, 2020, your earnings for each license will be based on your Image Level. As of now you’re in Level 4, which earns 30% per license. See the table below for more information about each level and how they are structured. Image Levels Total licenses for the year Pay rate Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5 Level 6 <= 100 101 - 250 251 - 500 501 - 2,500 2,501 - 25,000 > 25,000 15% 20% 25% 30% 35% 40% How does it work? • These new levels are based on the number of times your content is licensed rather than your lifetime earnings. • All contributors reset to level 1 for both images and videos every year on January 1st. • There are separate levels for images and for videos, and you graduate through them independently based on your download count in each category. Stay tuned for updates that include tips to help you quickly climb to the higher levels! Thank you, Paul Brennan VP, Content Operations
  4. Whenever I try to bring up Set Stats for a set in the catalog manager (for which I have downloads), it reports "Looks like you don't have any sales yet. Keep uploading! A bigger portfolio increases your chances of a sale."
