  1. Is it? The main subject (the waterfall) is super clear, look at the lines in the middle going down - this is how I wanted to have it basically
  2. Hey guys, The following image was rejected due to to Focus and Noise/grain. The problem is that the focus is put like this on purpose to create this specific waterfall effect with a high exposure. I actually really like this shot and am not happy that its rejected due to something I have made on purpose and its a technique the reviewers should be aware of? Any comments/feedbacks/suggestions?
  3. I was thinking exactly the same thing! Or 2 neighbors randomly came up with a new hobby of setting up Yucatan related websites any way, i dont want to complain about the 0.87$ sales, they can keep coming in but so far its only been 2 hehe.
  4. Cant wait!! I knew stock photography would be worth it hehe
  5. Another 0.87$ sale, wtf? Now ive got 2.30$ after 6 downloads, thats not too bad!
  6. July starts "good" with a 0.87$ instead of 0.10$ sub sale! That might be the only one for the month though, so I dont expect any improvement in July over the June stats (15% download increase with 55% revenue decrease)
  7. I have a 15% increase of Downloads with around 55% drop in revenue I really hope they will change it again as this is really bad.
  8. Hey man! yea they just reactivated it after another mail saying that the reason was due to some images from the Afrikaburnm festival, they have deleted my images and asked me to double check. As they forgot 8-9 more, i went ahead and deleted them as well, same as here. I wonder though why those images have been approved in the first place if they are not allowed to be sold? Now I have lost a week of earnings and it seems like my top sellers dont show up high in the search rankings anymore after this incident - which would really suck if they reset all my rankings by freezing the account
  9. Hey guys, maybe you can help me out a bit with Adobe Stock. Sales were picking up very nicely there and exactly last Monday, i have requested a payout. On Tuesday, to my big surprise as this never happend to me before, my Account was frozen / shut down with the explanation of "There is a pending content claim that our team is currently investigating. " I sent another mail to their support team on Wednesday to check how long this would take and until now, I have not received any further feedback. Its been a week now and I am missing out on a lot of Sales and motivation to upload more as I usually upload the same pics on multiple websites. With the best performing (Adobe) now not working, I dont really want to upload more. anyone else had this problem and did it also take so long for you? If they found something and need to check it, that wouzld be fine but having my account locked for a week and not paying out my money seems very strange. I hope its not taking months now?! All the hard work of uploading pictures in the last years would have been for pretty much nothing.. Cheers, Chris
  10. Ah yea the date taken is in there as well, thats standard meta data But no caption yep! Maybe I should use Lightroom to add that going forward too actually!
  11. I used FTP for this one and my images only have Keywords in their medadata, nothing else. What I still have to do after uploading is choosing the top keywords and adding the categories. I am not sure if its worth adding the location field in the optional tab?
  12. Hey man, yea it was not just 1000, it was over 5000 in total (capped to 1000) and I just gave it a go to see how many of them will be accepted. Somehow they accepted all and there were just a few errors in total, maybe I got lucky and some new guy approved them haha It will take me a time to get them all on sale though, the highlight trick is what im doing now, but since they are not ordered by file name, I have to scroll through the list and pick the ones belonging to one shoot. Its a lot of time sadly hehe.
  13. Yea i believe thats how it worked, i also uploaded a bunch of them already - struggling with the fact that the images are not sorted by name so i have to manually click on them rather than Shift-click xx images at once. Is there no sort function for the 1000 picutres each!?
  14. Just reactivated my Alamy account and uploaded 7000 pictures at once. Since i had 3 stars rating in the old account, it only took 3 days to approve around 6900 of the 7000 pictureswith a few technical failures. Now I guess they still have to be approved or should they be live if it says that they are "on sale" ? I cant find some newly uploaded pictures in the "New" section, might also be a delay. But that would mean that they approved nearly all of my 7000 pictures? wow.. Anyway, its a pain a bit since you cant sort all images in a batch (max 1000 pics) by Name, so i always have to manually click all the images that belong to one batch to edit them
  15. Finally managed to get into my old Alamy account! And what a surprise, all time i only made 5 sales, but last year I had one picture selling for $90!!! wow.. imagine how many sales you need for that on SS nowadays lol. Ill start uploading on Alamy again now EDIT: Ops i just realised that the 90$ was the full price, after 30% was reduced for "Alamy Distribution Commission" and another 40% for "Distributor Commission" - so only 25$ was left for me in the end haha. Is it normal to have 2 reductions at once!? Cheers, Chris
  16. What agencies are those? I am looking for new ones as well as long as its fast and easy to upload a lot of pictures. So it should have an option to select and edit in batch for sure!
  17. So looks like they or myself deleted my the Alamy account (with my money on it lol) and I had to recreate a new account starting from fresh. Now the first 3 images are in QC for 4 days already, do they have longer review times as well now?
  18. I just reached 1000 downloads and that is allowing you to upload editorial content on AS as well Looking forward to that as it might lead to an even better performance (at least compared to SS)
  19. Why arent they working for you? Pond5 i got a few sales but they are sadly really rare (around 200 vides uploaded only though as i focus on images) and I remember Alamy had a really time consuming system of uploading pics which in combination of not having many sales there, led me to stop uploading. Ill give it another go there though and see if things changed a bit!
  20. Haha, lets see - i requested a password reset but so far (after 20minutes) no mail came in. Not sure if they deactivated my Account since I did not use it anymore.
  21. Hey guys! I read a lot about people seeing huge spikes in their Adobe stock and Dreamstime sales, however thats not really the case for me. Are there any people here in this forum that see huge spikes in their sales on the other platforms since SS introduced their new earning tiers on June 1st? Here are my June figures for each incl. June 8th: Shutterstock: 33 downloads for 6.68$ in total. Adobe Stock: 38 downloads for €24.65 in total. Dreamstime: 2 downloads for 0.70$ in total. since I have no sales here, the recently 10% increase of their royalties rates doesn't help me :) My overall performance on them since I started in 2018: Shutterstock: 1,831.60$ in total with 5050 uploaded images and 3779 sales. Adobe Stock: €806.32 in total with 4200 uploaded images and 1001 sales. (position 27100, do they have a ranking somehwere for that? Also, I should get more now that I have reached the 1000 download mark) Dreamstime: 248.24$ in total with 1700 uploaded images. I have to say that I spent most time uploading on SS and only check for rejections there to re-upload them with corrected images. I dont do that for AS (but should probably start, even though they seem very slow / too busy to approve new images now) and I only upload about 20% of my overall stock on Dreamstime as the upload process there takes too much time and you cant batch upload and only use templates instead which results in a lot of clicks unfortunately. I wonder if I should spend more time on Dreamstime now as well to upload and if they will ever introduce a batch upload system? Or did I just miss it? Sites that I have used & your recommendation for new ones? Those are the ones I have used so far on top of the 3 listed above: - EyeEm - Pond5 - GettyImages On these ones, I have uploaded but then stopped since I barely got any sales on them: - Alamy - 500px - 123RF And last but not least, I just today applied for the following: - Stocksy United - Stockfresh Can suggest any other good performing platform that I am not using yet? Thanks so much guys! Hopefully microstock is not dead yet hehe. Cheers, Chris
  22. Hi guys! can anyone tell me why these beach / sunrise shots are rejected? which of the keyweords are not okay here? Cheers, Chris
