  1. I respect your position but by removing your content you become a non factor. By not submitting fresh content we control what Shutterstock has to offer to consumers.#NONEWCONTENT will be felt much more when customers go to sites with fresh content. However if we do nothing and continue to provide New content then we as creators deserve what we get. I would like to show them that WE are Shutterstock and without our content there is no Shutterstock period.
  2. I joined Shutterstock in 2017 and after 68 downloads have not reached default minimum payout. At $0.25 reaching the default has been hard but at $.10 per download it will be impossible. My response to this reduction is to stop uploading fresh content to the platform. #NONEWCONTENT is my solution. Creator's are not helpless and if the majority will just not upload fresh content Shutterstock will cease to exist. If you as a creator continue to provide fresh content to Shutterstock, then you deserve to be paid pennies for your efforts. We must agree that Shutterstock can't be allowed to devalue our work. Creators it is clear that our position with this company can't get any worse. Reset every year without consideration of Lifetime earnings is simply wrong. I will not delete my account nor will I disable my portfolio but as of today I will no longer provide fresh content. Of course the absence of my content won't affect Shutterstock's bottomline but if we all band together then there will not be a viable Shutterstock going forward. We are not HELPLESS stand up for fairness and don't be deceived there is no Shutterstock without our content.
  3. Your suggestion seem reasonable. I suggested that all contributors just don't upload new content for 30 days. Content is king and without fresh content there is no Shutterstock period. #justmyopinion
  4. I feel exactly how you do. I create for myself and upload to several stock agencies. If this is the way that Shutterstock wants to act good. My only reason for posting was just my opinion on which actions should be taken by contributors. If you are complaining about the value paid for your work then don't provide them with any content. #justmyopinion
  5. As I have stated I have contributed since 2017 and have not qualified for the default minimum payout. If you believe that it is in your best interests to accept the condition in the new pay structure that's cool. I was speaking to those contributors who are advocating disabling or deleting their accounts as a way of protesting Shutterstock's new policies. NO NEW CONTENT is a more effective way of voicing the issue. #justmyopinion
  6. Reason To Reduce payments from $.25 to $.10 So Shutterstock thinks that this is a good compensation model for its content creators. I began to upload content in 2017. I have uploaded 589 files and have had 67 images downloaded for total earnings of $21.39. As of 6/10/2020 I have not reached the default minimum payout of $35.00. Clearly I am not uploading content as a means of supporting my financial needs. This can not even be used to supplement my income. With the introduction of the new plan it is clear that this company doesn't value the creators on its platform. Creators talking about disabling their account over this slap in the face by management means nothing to Shutterstock. Moving portfolios have been suggested. This is what I believe as a novice photographer and contributor that if Shutterstock does not receive fresh content there is no Shutterstock period. If those of you on this platform will not upload any content for just 30 days this plan WILL change. I am not saying delete or disable or even move on to a different agency. 30 days of NO NEW CONTENT what Shutterstock does has absolutely no meaning to me. I have been on the platform for 3years and I still can't access the money I have earned. 30 DAYS OF NO NEW CONTENT will make our voices heard by this agency. So by adding new content you will be in agreement that you will create for only$.10 and then quit complaining about the unfairness of the policy. #justmyopinion
