  1. I noticed the specific downloads today. Thank you very much and good luck with your website! Thanks!!
  2. I proclaim this project officially and successfully completed!!! ) A couple of words that left - I think I'll be able to find them somewhere else or have somebody to draw a picture of them. Thanks again everyone who participated in this project. Internet Polyglot is going to be a much more interesting place to learn languages!
  3. Yep. Took last too and added skyscraper. Now century - something like first automobile, WWII, astronaut...
  4. Maybe take a selection from a few different poster's 'miniscule' portfolio offerings, or from one person only? How do you see it working? I think if nobody will be able to give a very prominent image for these words I'll simply do a search for 3-4 images from no matter what portfolios and combine them.
  5. Thank you for letting me know about that. I had a hard time trying to find an image of a man with some Belgian national attributes. It was only thing I could find - it's lame, I know but... I have a Belgian who is leading worldchampion in my gallery. Is that something you need? http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-3345679-world-champion-show-jumping-and-former-olympic-winner-in-barcelona-jos-lansink-from-belgium.html Well, nobody can tell from this image that this guy is a Belgian. It should be a person (male preferably) with some distinctive Belgian attributes, like wrapped in Belgian f
  6. I think in this case it should be something more modern, less ironic. It seems that for "century" and "millennium" it makes sense to create a collage... So for these words I'll need 3-4 images for each.
  7. And huge thanks to moderators of this forum for not shutting this topic - I AM a very satisfied customer now )
  8. And I am so grateful to all these people. The photos are great and creativity in trying to find an illustration for all those abstract terms is outstanding.
  9. Thank you for letting me know about that. I had a hard time trying to find an image of a man with some Belgian national attributes. It was only thing I could find - it's lame, I know but...
  10. Not a bad idea actually. Unless ShutterStock comes up with a better search/keywording/taxonomy scheme.
  11. are you publishing which photo's you used at the end? Oh cool! I see you post the links of the ones you use and I saw my dutch and belgium photo's being there! Yes, I publish them in the same document: http://spreadsheets1.google.com/ccc?key=piiC8TUhvWBmnJn_VvPCDGA
  12. timnichols1956, drwho and everyone who participated in this marathon. Thank you very much for your invaluable help, we are very close to the finish line. Without you I would spend weeks on trying to use ShutterStock search system, which is quite, I'd say, suboptimal ) It's great to hear that it was fun for you too! It always amazes me how community work can improve our life and life of others. So with your participation Internet Polyglot will provide a much better learning experience for the language learners in the whole world. Internet Polyglot is a community based site too - everyone ca
  13. Can you repost your picture with an actual link to it, not to its thumbnail?
  14. I can't use this picture, you gave a link to thumbnail, how can I find the link to the picture?
  15. Juanda, I'm sorry but you constantly give images for those words that are already selected.
