If your gonna shoot just a random Rod ...don't stand in the Middle. 2 steps left or right would have made this useable. Photography is about telling stories and composition is the way to do that. who Cares about processing. composition is King.

Random means it could be anywhere. best for descriptions and keywords to have something that tells the story.. good to Have a subject also Half way in,, a Person Walking away.Also...Extremely easy to put a Amazing sky in it. for Interest and some power. many Of us Have a Folder filled with clouds just waitin for Foregrounds Like this.. You posted for a critique. there it is. Your Call. This isn't flicker My Friend. Im not gonna go Ooh and Ah.... LOL Im here to hopefully Help you sell More.

Need a human element somehere. Perhaps a walker in the distance. This makes images more commercial x5. Other than that it's a nice shot and I don't mind the landscape although I agree with Laurin some different angles, including horizontal, would be interesting as well.

here ya go. add a person , Stretch it,add clouds with interest.add a Bike and BINGO...best seller that is if thats why your here?? It's called "Making a Photograph" instead of Just Taking a picture.Old Ansel Adams saying  "No Clouds, No photo" so true.

Allow me to try my little hand, Laurin. I turns day into night, I add people and most of all is Master Jedi. So, if I need a helping hand trimming long grass, I know Master Jedi will always be there for me hehehe
