You've called the picture "working like daddy", but where is daddy? Maybe stage the shot and have baby and daddy sitting at the same work station, or doing a similar task, if that's the story you're trying to tell.


This is simply a snapshot of a kid playing with a phone (which could also be another great concept about technology or being connected etc, but again would need to be staged differently).


Also, make sure that there aren't any identifiable logos/tags/brands etc for commercial stock.

Good critique by Jen and Bears. the shadows completely kills It. when shooting in situations Like this Point the speedlight Up and use the ceiling as a reflector. gonna need to adjust exposure. easy shot.


Pics of small children aren't easy, it is a spur Of the moment job making decisions. Can be done.  Just hand Him a Prop and back away and watch. something will happen....Trust me....IF YOUR LOOKING.
