That is a very striking mountain! If it were my image, I'd probably clone out the road signs, especially the white one in the center.

I suspect the artifacts Fixazh sees are from reducing and uploading the image, not present in the original?

It's not a bad composition, but could be taken at a better time of day.  You have managed to catch this scene in the flattest light possible.  The sun was directly behind you.  A different time of day, or different weather, would have brighter or darker lights on the foreground hills and the background mountain, and be much more dramatic.

It's worth getting out there and trying again, the mountain has some interesting features.

Thanks for comment. You're totally right. And I'm definetely agree with you about the lighting but it was a trip and only one chance to make a shot.

When the world gives you a lemon make lemonade. Or: Make the best of what you have.

That is a very abstract mountain. Next time use it to your advantage by using a longer lens to make compositions that are abstract. That is photograph this small section and then that small section leaving the road and sky out of all the compositions.

To practice: Put this picture in Photoshop and see how many different compositions you can make by cropping, both vertically and horizontally, the red, green and brown mountains - make sure to crop the sky and the road out.

Then, it goes in your personal files, as a souvenir.  I have those, too.

Thank you very much for advice.
