Chilean coast

I took a couple of shots of the Chilean coast and would greatly appreciate critiques on this one.

Where was your focus?  Nothing seems to be quite sharp.

You have a little chromatic aberration, not too bad, but it doesn't help.  Lens distortion, making the building on the left look like it's sinking into the sea.  And, the sea is leaning a little to the right, too.

Put Pics in the PHOTO CRITIQUE GALLERY. Agree with darla on this. First thing that caught my eye was a crooked horizon. Thats Photo 101 and shows your not looking. it's very slight But it's there and shouldn't be.

The difference between a quick shot, and a good shot can be small, but significant.

The composition in your photo really accents the sky, but the sky is not that interesting.  Time of day and weather conditions are critical to landscape photography.

Here, I spent just a few minutes straightening, and adjusting color and contrast.  I also cropped off much of the sky.  This leaves the horizon a little too close the middle, but does allow the sea and shore to be the focus, instead of the sky.

Thinking about little things like this  when you take the picture will help a great deal.  The idea is to not need to do so much editing.
